Author: Hannah Smith

WTSTalk with Aimee Jurenka and Nick Lafferty

We recently had the pleasure of hosting Aimee Jurenka and Nick Lafferty for a live WTSTalk.

Aimee Jurenka is an AI Visibility Strategist at seo SUSTAINABLE, and an SEO Strategist at RicketyRoo. She specializes in increasing search visibility by integrating AI, LLM, and semantic search advancements into scalable, revenue-driven programs. She led SEO growth initiatives that increased organic traffic by over 2,000%; scaled operational capacity by 180% without adding headcount; and delivered consistent profit margins of 50%+ month-over-month. Aimee is also an incredibly active member of WTS, plus she’ll be speaking at WTSFest Portland next month!

Nick Lafferty is Founding Marketing Engineer at Profound, the marketing intelligence platform that helps brands win in the age of AI-driven discovery. Prior to joining Profound, he was Loom's Head of Growth Marketing before going on a 2-year consulting journey, helping brands like Glean, AngelList, Watershed, Air, Teleport, Typeface, Float Financial, and more, open tens of millions of dollars of pipeline from paid ads.

Session Overview

In the session, Aimee and Nick highlighted that whilst AI Search is creating uncertainty, it's also creating a clear path to higher-value SEO work. Their view is that the SEOs who are able to measure and explain AI visibility will become the people leadership relies on to navigate the changing search landscape.

They went on to share how to use smarter metrics and clearer narratives to increase the scope of your work, secure additional budget, negotiate higher compensation, and how to remain indispensable as search continues to evolve.

Aimee and Nick also answered questions from our attendees on a range of topics, including sentiment analysis, AI search reporting tools, monitoring AI bot activity, how important citation share is, what e-commerce brands need to consider, and more!
